This password works with more than just devices that can't log in with Facebook. If you want, you can use that username and password combination to log into Spotify in your browser and other locations, too.
However, you shouldn't deactivate your Facebook account if you used it to sign up for Spotify. Spotify doesn't offer an official solution for removing your Facebook account in these cases, aside from deleting your Spotify account and opening a new one with another email address.

That's all you need to know about resetting your Spotify password. Unfortunately, Spotify doesn't yet offer any additional security options, such as two-factor authentication (2FA). This means you're limited to the strength of your password (or Facebook's 2FA, if you use that to sign in).
